Definition
Digital therapies are therapeutic interventions based on the use of a software for the prevention, management and treatment of a pathological condition. Digital therapies can take the form of apps, video games, websites or wearable devices and – to be considered as such – must lead to a clinical benefit demonstrable through rigorous scientific studies, in the same way as a medicine.
